Well...the vote didnt happen yesterday in the Senate for the proposed Constitutional amendment. BUT they did successfully block a filibuster (thats when senators try to block or delay a vote...like reading from the dictionary just to pass the time instead of voting). Cloture (which places a limit of 30 hours for delay attempts) required a 2/3 vote and passed. Both our TN senators voted in favor of cloture. Again, you wont see this carried on most news stations b/c the amendment would help prevent big companies from owning the people in DC who are supposed to represent us...and those big companies also happen to own the news outlets. IF the Constitutional amendment passes, it still requires 38 states to ratify it. #SJRes19
