Well they did it again! For the 4th year in a row & 14th time in franchise history, YOUR Denver Broncos are champions of the AFC West after their 22-10 win over the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium. Despite having flu-like symptoms, Peyton Manning was able to fight through the sickness and throw a touchdown to Demaryius Thomas which happened to be the only touchdown for the Broncos. But combined with the running game lead by C.J. Anderson & Juwan Thompson as well as a very well improved defense and to top it off with Connor Barths 5 field goals which matches his season high from just 2 weeks ago, the Broncos did just enough to run their record to 11-3 and clinching their 4th straight division title. The bad news however is that the New England Patriots won, they beat the Miami Dolphins 41-13 to clinch their 6th straight AFC East title & remain ahead of Denver in the battle for the AFCs top seed at 11-3 with just 2 weeks to go before the playoffs. (Uh - PLAYoffs?! Dont talk about - playoffs! Ya kiddin me?! Playoffs?!) Next up for the Broncos, one more road game this season as they travel to the Queen City to take on Andy Dalton & the AFC North leading Cincinnati Bengals on the final Monday Night Football game of 2014.
