Well, this just happened: I was sitting in my car this afternoon listening to rough unmixed tracks of Exiting The Fall new songs. I cranked it up pretty loud. As the last song was wrapping up, I got out of my car and started walking into my apartment building; simultaneously, an elderly woman was getting out of her car right beside me. As we walked into our apartment building together, I realized she definitely heard me blasting some heavy, loud, screaming music. Before I could even feel awkward or judged about the situation the elderly woman said to me: That sounded amazing, young man. Completely thrown aback, I starting thanking her and told her that was an unmixed song of my bands new music. She freaked out. She encouraged me to keep making music and reassured me from what she heard, it was going places. That fact that a 70-80 year old woman heard one my bands new songs and loved it, is both hilarious and strangely encouraging. Dont judge a book by its cover and DEFINITELY dont judge an elderly womans taste in music.
