Well, this may be the last update about my health for a good three months! The doctor presented me with two treatment options: hormone therapy alone OR hormone therapy and hysterectomy. He was 50-50 on the options, not favoring one or the other as there is no proven treatment and no apparent urgency for surgery. He had clearly backed off the surgery idea since my last visit. I think he was very leery of operating on me with my hernia repairs, which I think was a good thing. So in the end, he was comfortable with my choice all along: hormones alone, eval need/possibility of surgery down the road. In Sept and Oct I will return for hormone shots. In November he will see me and scan my lungs for a look-see. He does not anticipate seeing any improvement that fast but wants to have a handle on whether there is further spread or growth, which might make the idea of surgery more urgent. (And they MAY show improvement. Keep praying!) I thank EVERYONE who has prayed for me these past almost FIVE months. (Five months on Thursday.) I ask for continued prayers that I would tolerate the hormones well. Other than that, my lungs, uterus, and I are going on radio silence until November and I am going to LIVE!
