Well this weeks adventure for our intrepid guitarist was to accompany an opera singer at a school fundraiser. How a primary school convinced top level professionals Sarah McLiver, Mark Coghlan, Andrew Foote and Fiona McAndrew to perform is a testament to their organizational skill. I performed with Fiona. We did Spanish Lady, My Lagan Love and Song to the Siren. Sublime doesnt quite say it. She doesnt look much like this by the way. I had to play very slow, carefully and sparingly to make this work. One slip in timing, phrasing or intonation and you are totally dead. Fiona was, of course, totally brill. What a joy this was! Bring on more of these challenging adventures with such brilliant people I say! Yes please!
