Well, though it deeply pains me to say it, I just checked the FB pages of ALL my immediate family, sibling, cousins, even some of my closest friends ever! in Detroit, and I am not only saddened, but ASHAMED to admit that NONE OF THEM... absolutely NONE OF THEM POSTED ANYTHING (from August 8th through today) with regard to whats going on in #Freguson regarding the MURDER OF #MikeBrown and ALL OTHER BLACK MEN & WOMEN BEING OPENLY BRUTALIZED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT ON A DAILY BASIS AT AN ALARMINGLY INCREASING RATE!!! NOT ONE... EXCEPT Kenya DeJarnette, Jamele Perry, and James Bailey... A TEARFUL THANK YOU to the three of you. And, I must take into account that some simply posted nothing during that time frame, which cannot be necessarily construed as doing nothing, and must also acknowledge that Detroit is going through its own thing right now with the aftermath of the massive, massive flood worse than weve EVER HAD in AT LEAST well over 50 years there! I GET THAT!! HOWEVER, if you are BLACK and you can take the time to post about the suicide death of Robin Williams, if you can post about HOW MUCH YOU LOVE JESUS, or if you can play and post your scores in CANDY CRUSH SAGA (or whatever the current useless mind craze that is out there), SURELY YOU HAVE TIME to post about the MURDER OF YOUR OWN SONS & DAUGHTERS!!! Maybe its a response of helplessness, hopelessness, or escapism. I dont know. WHAT I DO KNOW IS THIS: If YOU are not STANDING UP, SPEAKING OUT, and FIGHTING AGAINST all that is happening now and has been happening all along against our society, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!!! Become a part of the Collective Solution. JOIN THOSE WHO FIGHT FOR US ALL!!!
