Well, thought I would share what we have been dealing with here this summer. Over half of the tomatoes have bottom rot (calcium deficiency), most of the cukes, squash and melons have blight and the other day I noticed that the green beans have it now. We are also dealing with tons of grasshoppers and those little green inch worms which are eating all of the cabbage and broccoli plants. I used a foliar calcium spray a week ago on the tomatoes and peppers so hoping that helps them. I spayed all of the blight affected plants with colloidal silver so hopefully I will be able to tell soon if that is going to work. The cabbage and broccoli are beyond repair but definitely an issue I am going to nip in the bud right off the get go next year. Thankfully ALL of the hydroponics plants are thriving and the tomatoes and cantaloup plants that were devastated by hail have come back with a vengeance, lol, its a jungle in that bed!
