Last week the Ninth Hershey Conference on Developmental Brain - TopicsExpress

Last week the Ninth Hershey Conference on Developmental Brain Injury took place at Johns Hopkins University. This conference is one of the leading developmental brain injury conferences bringing together top researchers from around the world working together to find solutions and share information about brain injury, repair and regeneration, with a strong focus Cerebral Palsy. As you know, there is a great need to inspire and encourage more researchers to study Cerebral Palsy. To this end, we sponsored the first Outstanding CP Young Investigator award given at the Hershey Conference. Here is what the Hershey Conference selection committee had to say: Dear Reaching for the Stars Committee, We greatly appreciate your support of our shared effort to conquer and ameliorate the suffering caused by Cerebral Palsy. We share the same ultimate goal that no child will have to suffer with CP with no hope for cure. Toward this goal, we are proud to announce the selection of Dr. Alexander Drobyshevsky as the winner of the Reaching for the Stars prize at Hershey 2014. As you can see from his curriculum vitae Alex is an extremely bright and successful young scientist whose considerable talents have been focused on the problem of cerebral palsy. Alexs work is forward thinking and he uses state of the art technology and research techniques in his approach to the problems of CP. Alex was the unanimous choice of our Hershey Program committee receiving a perfect score on his abstract submitted for the meeting. We are very excited to support the efforts of young investigators like Dr. Drobyshevsky and thank you for all of your support enabling us to do so! We will share the selected research abstract and post it on our website as well. mdlinx/neurology/conference-details.cfm/61101/Ninth-Hershey-Conference-on-Developmental-Brain-Saint-Michaels-Maryland-United-States/
