Well today has been long, hectic & stressful! We had to take Aubrey back to the hospital as scheduled with the dr. They did more bloodwork, an EEG & another spinal tap. Aubrey screamed bloody murder during the BW! They came back very quickly with the spinal tap results and said her WBC count was thru the roof in the fluid and that the infection had spread to her brain. However, we are so blessed that her EEG was normal and she has had no neurological symptoms from the Lyme disease. Also, they think they caught in time so she wont have any long term effects. she will need an intravenous, antibiotic regimen for 14 days, 3x per day. So needless to say 14 days in the hospital does not go over well with Aubrey and the Dr. Said he knows what a challenge it would be for us bc of our other kiddos and Rexs work schedule so hes trying to see if he can get her treatment as an outpatient, which we are very grateful as Aubrey just wants to go home! So please continue to pray for our sweet Aubrey!!
