Well today my morning snow balled into complete chaos. After I calmed myself down a bit and focused I was able to center myself. It all started with a slip on the ice which I got up laughing from. As I walked from the fall site I realized that the fall probably broke my laptop.... I thought to myself okay; keep calm the laptop can be fixed at least you didnt hit your head.. When I got where I was going I went to grab my cell and realized I didnt have it anymore which meant it fell out of my pocket when I fell. Uh oh. So I retraced my steps; discovering my water bottle at the fall site but no phone... Uh oh went through my head again. So I retraced all the way across campus to where I had it last still no phone. After retracing the same path about five times my anxiety was through the roof so I went to the pay phone and called my fiance. When he got to the school he helped me calm down and we went on a mission to locate my phone. To eliminate the process it ended with us being able to electronically connect with my phone and notify the person with my phone to call his cell. She did and we met up with her bringing reward money for the return. When we met up with her however she did not want the money. No hesitation whats so ever. She was just happen to have been able to find the owner. Let me tell you my faith in people grew a lot today. After getting home we did discover in my fall I did smash my laptop screen. But the positives of everything that happened out weigh the negatives.... 1. I didnt get seriously hurt during the fall because the laptop saved me. 2. A fellow student picked up my phone and then returned it when we were able to contact the phone. 3. And since I came home because of the ordeal I was able to surprise my two oldest with me picking them up from school. 4. *Bonus* The laptop can be fixed... It was the glass and touchscreen portion that got broken. I wanted to share what happened to me today to show you that anyone can have horrible day and turn it around... And that there are still good people out there! -D
