Well tommorw is April 1st. As a lay here in bed with Maddie I thank back to 2009.the last of March 2009 was scary my mom had her Mimi stroke . And she went home on March 30 or 31 st. And Donny my brother -in-law was admitted and we found out he had colon cancer.And at the same time Scott and Donny uncle was in hosptail to. Then on April 5 th ,2009 Maddie started crying with her legs. We thought it was growing pains. Then that afternoon she could no longer walk and ran a high temp. April 6 we took her to dr and she was admitted here at Sbrmc.After a day of test they told us she was beening sent to ACH.So on April 7th she was transfor to Ach . And she underwent more test her IV blew. I will never forget looking down at Scotts white shirt it was covered in blood.They had to start another IV that was the night we meet Lynne Callas she had to restart the IV Maddie just kept Thanking her.it was 4 am before we got into a room and then they put us in a semi private room . So she wanted her daddy so I slept in the waiting room. Than on April 9,2009 at 9:00 am are life changed forever. We heard the 4 words that no parnet wants to hear. Your Child Has Cancer. The life as u know it is changed forever. Yes my child is off treatment , and has been off for almost 3 years,yes she looks good and to look at her u would not know she was sick.And yes the chemo has cause side affects that u cant see. Does her begin in remission cause me to stop worrying No it does not. Do I still worry when she gets a cold,fever,burse ,when her legs hurts yes
