Well tomorrow marks my dads 40th anniversary with The Wayside here in Mt. Pleasant! The bar has been good to us & contrary to public opinion lots of good people have meet here as well as thousands of employees whom have went on to be professional athletes, doctors, lawyers, teachers, principals, law enforcement, military, coaches, & tons more. When my father 1st moved here in 1975 he had a brown paper bag with all his belongings & a rusted out car. He had to grind his way to the top overcoming many obstacles while working more hours than 99.9 % of us. He still works 12 hour days. He meet my mom who was a bartender on his 1st crew. I bet most of you would be shocked to know how many of your friends & family either worked here or meet here. I am proud to have worked at the family business & excited for the opportunities that the Wayside has provided our family. Happy birthday Wayside Central!
