Well tonight I got to spend about two hours with jake. He looked much better then the last time and he is now off the ventilator. He was pretty emotional today. I was able to get him a signed picture from Brett Kissel as well as a signed hat and shirt. Chad Brownlee also signed a t-shirt and a cd for him. He absolutely loved his presents and I was ecstatic to bring them to him. I just want to let everyone know that jake would really love to see you. He thought when he came home he would have tons of support but he has barely seen anyone. I know its tough sometimes to find the time but if you could he would love the company. He is still in the icu but will soon be moving to the spinal unit. If you are planning on visiting and are unsure where in the hospital he is you can just call the patient information a Vancouver General. Jake is such an incredible person and has been through a lot of life changing events this past year and he just needs to know that he is loved. It hurts me so much to see him going through this as I have always tried to protect him and in this case there is nothing I can do to fix what has happened, I can just be there for him every step of the way. Also I am so happy to hear charity has started some great progress in her recovery. Thank you for sharing that with us as I think of her as well everyday and pray she keeps getting better.
