Ok Friends its time for a bit of an update, As of next week when I have completed all prior arranged work I will be taking a four week holiday. So I will not be booking any more customs for that time period, this has come about for a number of reasons the main being that the family, especially two youngest children here have a terrible flu bug neither seem to able to shake and I am struggling to allocate time between them and dyeing. I would prefer Neither one go with out my attention and focus but as a beautiful client said to me recently I am a mama first. Secondly I need to evaluate the direction of Prismatic dye, wether I want to build or down scale, how and if I choose to begin taking customs in the future. I must reiterate any prior commitments I will stick to my word and complete them regardless of my decision here. Thirdly I need to work on a disclaimer of sorts for the page, a bit about dye art itself. It has become a really terrifying chore to try to ensure every inch of a dye job it perfect and no matter how hard I try each one will have a quirk it my be a tiny speck or a slight line in the grad, try as I might to control EVERY aspect I can not so I can take a few things from this, I need to improve my skills and inevitably convey to my customers that each piece is hand dyed by me, and like ALL hand made items they have quirks, handwoven wraps have occasional tie off ect, hand sculpted items have slight imperfections that I personally think make them beautiful and unique! My self and the other dye artist currently operational have a paramount task to deliver perfection born from another persons vision it is no small task and is something I spend a lot of time feeling anxious about. So I will get to finishing up here and I will update once I have made my decision. Thankyou to all those who have supported me in my journey so far!
