Well we did not get to go home yet. Yesterday Isaac had a good day with much less pain but his sugar level was still to high all day. He started out with a sugar level of 200 then at lunch 342 then at supper 356. So they would not let us go home. So last night about 10 or 11 he had a real bad pain attack they did more blood work, and even a spit cultur to see if they could see anything there all were good. He is in a lot of pain today but still in the game room playing with some other kids. After the pain attack his sugar level went down to 148 at 1 am this morning. Then when he got up this morning his sugar level was over 300 again. So the dr. changed his insulin again and we are here for at least 24 more hours. The dr. said every time he changes his insulin he will have to be here 24 hours after that to see how it works. Dr said we may get to go home this weekend. IDk about that, I just want Isaac well again without pain. I just wonder if he is still in pain then will they ever be able to get his sugar level under control?
