Well we finally got a update on Janes Family in the Philippines. All is well for the most part with them. The only major thing that happened is. They lost the roof off the Sari Sari Store (variety store) I bought them back in 1991. There are still alot less fortunate than them that didnt fair so well. But for the most part the Western side of leyte survived structure wise. BUT the fishing fleet is damaged and the crops destroyed. So food and medical is in extremely short supply and costly. My Wife Jane is setting up a NON Profit relief account; Villaba Disaster Relief Fund (Bank and paypal) to help buy food and medical supplies for her town (Villaba). Her sister is a elected official in that town and can be trusted to make sure the money is used for the intended purpose. Once the accounts are established I will be posting the information for any of my ScreamandFly & facebook Family that is willing to donate. There will also be a documentation with photos that I will post on ScreamandFly as well as Face Book. Unfortuniately Tacloban (the capital of leyte) is a Totally different story. Basically total devistation. Schools, Churches, the Air port Buildings, Homes, even hospitals simply washed away from the 50 waves and tidal flooding. To date estimated 10k dead and still rising as the debri is being cleared. Peoples bodies have been found hanging in trees 20/30 up. The schools that were being used as shelters have reportedely lost there roofs and collapsed on everyone inside them. As far as my Friends wife (also one of my Wifes closest friends). We finally received word she is OK!!!!!!!
