Well we had a rough, scary start to our week...nothing like a big vet bill for our anniversary! Went outside Monday at lunch to find my 15 yr old Corgi, Sadie, with a foot long laceration and skin flap dragging the ground. After panicking and getting her wrapped up and to the vet, she had emergency surgery and spent the night and all day yesterday at the vet for observation. She has recovered remarkably well so far and wound up with about 40 staples and a ton of internal sutures. Leave it to my old granny dog to find who knows what to do this on in a solid fenced back yard. I so thought she wasnt gonna be coming home again...so thankful it wasnt worse than it was and that it seems to be healing well despite a ton of bruising and trauma.
