Well we have finally had some welcome rain and along with the high temperatures and humidity - plants just power ahead this time of year. My pond is getting overgrown but thats fine as I use excess weed as a mulch for the garden. Today I decided to plant some pond plants - Brahmi and Vietnamese mint in some unusual containers and they look great. One container is a very big mortar without its pestle - very heavy but it wont tip over thats for sure. Great way to recycle containers and grow edible plants. You dont need a pond however liquid fertiliser is good like worm juice (vermi juice) or seasol to boost them along as you dont have the fish to help fertilise them.
