Well, we have reached another milestone in our lives. We had a wonderful turn out for our 50th reunion this past weekend. I feel those that did not attend, really missed a special occasion. Our Friday night at Joe Forlines was very special. Joe had a wonderful chef making pizzas all evening which were delicious. We had about 45 classmates and some spouses in attendance. Saturday, the tour of the school brought back so many memories both good and bad. Then it was off to the new high school where our class was featured at the Alumni banquet. Dinner was served with a short program where we were all recognized. We sang the Alma Mater with much pride led by Tim and Claudia. After dinner most of our classmates went back to Joe Forlines for another evening of sharing, caring, laughs and tears. Gay Evans had a video made of our past reunions and gave one to each classmate in attendance. The boards with all the pictures on them were wonderful to see again. The MEMORIAL BOARD which featured 36 of our known classmates that have passed, was a sad reminder that Nothing is Forever. It was very heart wrenching to see those pictures and read the names. I was so thankful to have been able to attend this year. We were all saddened by the loss of Ken Evans mother who passed on Saturday morning, and very sad to learn that Ginny Crumrine Blacks husband Ron, is in serious condition and had to go back in the hospital where he is battling cancer. Our prayers go out to those classmates that were too sick to attend this year. I want to personally thank Joe Forlines for allowing us to have this years reunion at his home. Joe has been through so much in the past few months and he is also in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you to Tim Elfrink and Pat, Wayne Cormany, Connie Runner, Leila Gay Evans, Claudia Todd, Toni Collier and so many others, for the planning and getting this event prepared. I know it involved hard work and time but, Im sure everyone is so thankful for another successful reunion. Thanks to everyone that made long trips from as far away as California, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, Western Ohio, The Carolinas, Texas, Arizona and many more locations. So here is to our CLASS OF 1964 and the hopes, dreams and future of all. Until then, good luck, good health and much happiness, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
