Well, well, well... Remember the credit we were supposed to get along with the explanation? I was told I owed the $79.50, after a 30 min discussion in Mr. AJs office. I paid it, then received my December bill with this on it...a huge credit! Money I paid obviously not owing at the time. Ok fine, whatever! Today comes our expensive city rag mag which I anxiously opened looking for the grand explanation of the billing system and at the very least an apology. I was greatly disappointed!!! Joplin City Government I am saddened by the lack of responsibility you take for YOUR OWN MISTAKES!! Where does it mention how you were so busy, and overwrought, last August that you couldnt pull yourselves together and get bills mailed out...hence the double billing in November??? Instead you again blamed it on MAW!! That was not the explanation I was given by AJ AND Sam Anselm!!! I was told a DETAILED explanation of the missing bill and the double billing would be published!! This is incomplete, irresponsible and disrespectful!! And there is not even an apology for the inconvenience to your citizens, just budgeting advice you can keep to yourself! You cant run a city, we sure dont need you screwing up our homes!! Sadly, we know we have bills to pay every...single...month. Btw, thank you city council for raising the bill $2.17 per month! It is hard enough to keep up for those on limited incomes, but that wouldnt be any of your business right?? Which slush fund is this money going into? We are growing very weary of your nonsense and lies! There are single moms and non-college educated people that run a smoother household/business, with WAY LESS MONEY, than you people do with millions of taxpayer dollars!! I suggest you hire some of these folks to teach you time-management, budgeting and people skills, as you are miserably lacking in these areas!!
