Well, weve passed Halloween, so naturally the yuletide decorations are out... time for my annual rant against Madison Avenue... Get ready Recently, advertising types have re-affirmed their opinion that i am a less-than-desirable element of society, based on such facts as A)i still have a flip-phone, B)im not Saving Thousands by buying a car for myself instead of saving hundreds when i go christmas shopping for others, et. al. Sometimes its a good thing to just step back, and look at HOW were being told certain things, instead of just what were being told (and dont even get me STARTED on why we need to be TOLD anything in the FIRST place...) So, for the eleventeenth time since i was about 7, i have THIS to say to the Idiot Parade that is popular media: Well i dont want no Demon Priest to tell me what its all about, no black magician telling me to get my soul out; i dont believe in violence, i dont even belive it exists; ive opened the door, now mind my feelings... Well i dont want no priest telling me about the god in the sky; No, i dont want no-one to tell me where im gonna go when i die; i want to live my life, i dont want people telling me what to do; i just believe in myself, because no-one else is true Every day just comes and goes, life is one long overdose, people trying to ruin me, and i cant seem to lift a finger... People hiding their real faces, each one running their rat-races, behind each flower grows a weed, in their world of make-believe... So believe what i tell you, its the only way youll find in the end; just believe in yourself, you know you really shouldnt have to pretend; Dont let those empty people try and interfere with your mind; Just live your life, and leave them all behind
