Well, what can one say? Its very early on Christmas Eve morning, - TopicsExpress

Well, what can one say? Its very early on Christmas Eve morning, a day that can bring on such mixed emotions. Anticipation of the day ahead, with preparations underway for tomorrows feasting, last minute items to pick up. A hair appointment to keep. A lot of us are guilty of thinking Did I buy enough? Did I forget anyone? And in six months from now, will any of us even remember? In too many cases, our thoughts turn to sadness, loneliness. A cherished friend who lost their brave battle with cancer, a loved Mom or Dad who wont be at the table this year. A pet lost, a job gone wrong, a relationship worn out. There is little doubt that at this time of great joy, for someone, there will be great sadness. We must try to be respectful of the strength that some must find to endure their own personal difficulties. In my own home, I look forward to having my whole flock in one place for Christmas Day, a true embarrassment of riches. Yes, there will be presents to open, a wonderful meal to prepare and share, a glass of wine to enjoy. Grandchildren to play with, a tablecloth to stain, a mess to clean up. Christmas Mass to celebrate. It will be awesome! B.J. gets to spend Christmas with the whole family, after having missed the last few. Did my Christmas cactus bloom? YES!! Will there be Pumpkin Pie? You bet! Will there be snow for the little ones to enjoy their new sssshhhh......s-n-o-w-s-h-o-e-s ? Oh well, you cant win them all! Ill be delivering fresh baked Oatcakes to my hairdresser this morning, after I finish this lovely cup of coffee. Its quiet, just me and the tree, and the guest of honor thawing out on the counter, but Id like to take this time to thank you for having the patience to read this ramble and please accept my heart-felt wish for a peaceful Christmas. It truly is a season of miracles and magic, love and light; Merry Christmas, one and all.
