Well, with global warming on the rise, hahahaha, the extreme winter weather is a great example of being prepared for unexpected emergencies that can happen. Having water, food, and some basic supplies for just your car is a great advantage. Also, having enough food in you house to last you family for at least a week at all times is great for when there is that mad rush for the grocery store when bad weather is predicted. Bulk bags of rice or beans and spam like meat are great for long term storage. Think about if your water and power accessibility becomes cut off or is erratic, how do you get your cooking and stuff done? Remember, the NW is overdue for a big earthquake. Talk with your family about a meeting place if you happen to be apart when either a big storm or a earthquake happens. To prepare, think about what you need as a minimum and get the things as you can afford them. Stay safe everyone.
