Well, yesterday marked two weeks since Pauls been home and things are going really well. Hes slowly getting his appetite back, and his energy level is going up, although he still has to take thing slow and cant be up and around as much as hed like. Hes been on a few outings with me and a some of his friends and I know he really enjoys that. (Probably enjoys his time with friends more than me, as I just tend to run errands.) Hes losing some air through his trach and theyre a little concerned about that, so we are going to Iowa City on Monday to have that checked. Other than that, he goes in for blood work every few days so they can correct his warfarin dose as needed and continues to take care of his trach by changing the dressing periodically and flushes out his feeding tube line. Im sure hed still enjoy some company in the afternoons when Im at work, but be sure and call first in case hes resting or at an appointment somewhere. Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate it just as much today as we did when he was in the hospital.
