Wellington Times owner/editor Rick Conroy has posted his endorsements for council candidates. Surprise ! once again he endorses candidates who purchase the most advertising in his paper. Ads in the papers are an important reminder to the general public but are not the best way to judge a candidate Ads only provide a very brief reminder message to voters. The most important way to deliver my message has been my door to door campaign. A clear, concise presentation of my position and realistic solutions to the many issues we face in Picton and PEC. Honest answers not lofty statements and weak promises at public meetings are what truly matters. It has been my honour and great privilege to meet over 800 people in person who were home when I knocked on their doors. I have personally hand delivered my message to over 1500 households in Picton. The overwhelming support I am receiving from real people at their doors, not the endorsement of a newspaper editor who is biased in favour of his bottom line, is of more importance to me. I have consistently delivered a message of common sense solutions. I have real experience in business in PEC. My devotion to our great community, over 25 years volunteering with and for the people of PEC. My clear understanding and respect for the needs and wants of Picton and County residents is what will ensure my election to council. Not newspaper endorsements. My competitors bring positive attributes and have been contributors to our community since moving here. (Treat
