Welp, I have a really big announcement to make everyone! I’ve been holding off on making this public for a while, but I think the time has come to let everyone know… I am leaving FL to take a position in Music City – AKA, Nashville, TN, to work at Lipscomb University!!! I’ve been hired to take over the Film program (we’re calling it “Cinematic Arts”) which already has an MFA degree and will be launching a Film undergrad this coming August. I am so blessed because the administration at LU has truly set me up to succeed! I’m being given the resources to grow the department and establish a Film program, which will make a long lasting and significant impact on Hollywood and around the world. For those who are thinking about doing an MFA in Filmmaking, please consider joining me! The program is very exciting as there are already accomplished filmmakers in the degree (they’ve worked with PIXAR, PBS, Cartoon Network, SNL, NBC, etc.) and even a famous actor or two ☺. Besides Ilan Ben-Yehuda, can anyone guess who the famous actor(s) might be…? Also, if you decide to do your MFA with me, as part of your degree, you “must” go to the Cannes film fest in your 2nd year.
