Burglars forced open a window at a prospect road home. A plasma TV, back pack with personal items was reported stolen. @ 02:21 St Georges Park. Atlas response arrested a thief in Park drive. The suspect had broken into a vehicle and was caught while removing the battery. @ 07:26 Mill Park. Burglars entered a College drive school garage. The school bus vehicle was smashed. No other loss reported. @ 10:41 Lorraine. Atlas response was notified that a home was burgled in Versailles Court. Jewellery, Plasma TV, laptop and other valuables were reported stolen. @ 12:20 Deal Party. A security guard at a Ferguson road business had alerted Atlas response of thieves in the yard. The thieves attempted to steal goods from the yard. The thieves fled. No loss reported. @ 12:37 Westering. Burglars smashed a window at a Papenkuil Street home. Burglars forced open a garage door at a Hazlehurst Road home. Copper piping, wooden door and bookshelf were reported missing. @ 13:31 Sunridge Park. No entry gained. @ 01:31 Walmer. A white bakkie with Thieves in threw in petrol at a First avenue service station. The thieves fled and did not pay. @ 05:11 Sidwell. A burglar was arrested at a Sutton road business. The burglar was attempting to break-in. @ 06:02 Walmer. A Villiers Road resident alerted Atlas control centre of a commotion at the next door home. Atlas response arrived and arrested a burglar who had smashed a window. The burglar entered and hid underneath a bed. @ 08:00 Sidwell. Burglars smashed a window at a Harrysmith Road business. A grinder and welding machine was reported stolen. @ 09:35 Walmer. A business owner noticed a thief enter a Church road business. The owner shouted. The burglar fled with a handbag. @ 09:46 Morningside. A home owner at a Petersvale Road home reported theft at his home. Thieves stole the light from the outside of the home. @ 10:27 Walmer Heights. Burglars damaged vibrecrete wall and fencing at a Chlodea street home. No entry gained. 23:01 Central. Atlas response were notified of an hi jacking in Campbell street. The hi-jacked vehicles were recovered. Cell phones and cash were stolen. FRIDAY - SEPTEMBER 19 00:25 Summerstrand. Two burglars entered a Louis Botha Drive home while the home owner was asleep. The home owner was awoken by the noise and approached the burglar. One burglar fled and the other got into a scuffle with the client. The burglar fled. No loss was reported. @ 00:34 Mill Park. Burglars broke open doors leading into a hall area at a College drive school. Loss was not confirmed. @ 02:58 Lovemore Heights. Intruders removed a window at an Overdale Avenue home. Two laptops were reported stolen. @ 03:39 Glenhurd. Atlas response was notified that a homeowner was tied up inside her Ruth Street home. Robbers forced open a window and entered. The robbers stole the complete safe and the home owner’s vehicle. The robbers also took the clients ATM card and forced that she give them her pin number. @ 08:25 Sidwell. Robbers entered a Kempston road business. The robber’s gun pointed the staff and demanded jewellery, wallets and cell phones. @08:37 Summerstrand. Atlas response was dispatched to assist with a medical emergency at a Galpin road home. An elderly man was struggling to breath. The patient was transported to hospital by ambulance. @ 09:36 Walmer. The burglars stole a laptop and a plasma TV. @ 09:23 Lorraine. A Melan Road home owner was watching TV when three burglars entered through his bathroom window. The burglars tied the homeowner up. The burglars demanded all the valuables and firearm. The burglars then loaded stolen goods into the home owner’s vehicle a silver polo. The burglars fled in the homeowner’s vehicle. @ 09:44 Lorraine.
