While the former sees women as objects that exists only to attract men, the latter also identifies women only in terms of her identity as a mother, daughter, sister... excuse me, we are more than being somones mother, daughter, sister. Why cant we be seen as an individual? What if i dont want to regard someone my anything? Why should i regard anyone as my brother when i may not want to keep any relation with the person? We need to question the morality farce associated with regarding/not regarding someone as brother. Based on my observation and experience, i can say that while intellectuals mostly confine themselves to criticising only one religion..I think there is a need to challenge religious fundamentalism irrespective of whether the concerned religion is majority or minority...
