Wenger has yet to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, but he says he has given the club his word. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that he will still be in charge of the Gunners next season. The 64-year-old is currently the longest serving manager in England, having been at the North London club since 1996. Wengers contract is due to expire at the end of June, but he says he is going nowhere. Following Arsenals 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, Wenger was asked whether he would be back at the Emirates Stadium next season. His reply was simple. Yes, he told Sky Sports. I dont know [when I will sign a new deal]. I told you many times that my word is my word. I am from a period where you didnt need a pen to commit. The Gunners secured their place in the Champions League for a 17th successive season this weekend and Wenger thinks that this may help speed his contract talks along. However, he has rejected claims that the club are waiting on the result of this months FA Cup final against Hull City before deciding whether to stick with him. He added: It is not linked [with the FA Cup final] at all. It was important to be in the Champions League, that is for sure. I have told you many times, it is not linked. Wenger has won three Premier League titles and four FA Cups during his 18-year stint as manager of Arsenal. However, the Gunners have not won a piece of major silverware since May 2005.SEE ALSO: The Fastest Players on Fifa 14 bit.ly/1hpYm0Q
