Went for Vrindavan Parikrama this morning with Shyam, Vijaya, and Vrindavan Bihari. It was like walking for a few hours in a Russian Banya. When I was finished .. I was drenched wet from head to toe. It is definitely warm, but, the humidity is the killer. Just sat on my back porch and Mr. and Mrs. Monkey came by with their one month old child. He was a real pleasant bloke and as I was relating to him politely he didnt appear to have an uptight bone in his body. When I asked him if he wanted a banana he was pleased. So I sat on one side of my gate, peeled the bananas, and he casually put his hands through the gate, took the banana, and whacked the entire banana in his mouth and stored it somewhere in his throat. My only complaint was when I tried offering to his wife and kid ... well, he just didnt want to share, and he took it and scarfed it into his throat storage tank. When I offered them some Brazil nuts the parents didnt care for them but junior whacked em back. I asked him if he was a sadhu in his last life. He peacefully looked at me and just smiled. The clincher was when our garden keeper Sagar walked around the corner and started to chase away my guests and he saw me sitting there with banana peels in my hands. He must have thought that Id nicked into the herbs that he, Sagar, often puffs because he really had such a bewildered look on his face that I, BB Govinda Swami, was being nice to The Furry Freak Family. Jai Vrindavan !! Now .. Thunder and rain !!
