Went to a big box store-- this morning, finished shopping just before 8. Not one check stand open!!! Only the self check stations. Asked about it and the response was nope, not yet, but you can check out here. Yeah, I kinda know that lady. Not like you dont have two people in the self check area that are doing NOTHING! So, I tried, really I did. First thing out of the cart was beer and yep, you guessed it...Need cashier approval. Then I thought to ask, Can I do a check here?- Answer was Nope, it will need to approved up front. Response from me- Full basket of groceries left for them to deal with. Tthis is on top of their prescription drive through window is not operational a good portion of the time. One of the lanes has been down for months, apparently there are no plans for repair. Not a big deal for me, but someone such as my disabled husband depend on this convenience. All of this from a company that has made how many billions of dollars from us....Went to another store, re-shopped and was asked no less than 3 times if I needed assistance finding anything, they bagged,carted my groceries and offered to load them in my car. Have we gotten so used to bad service that we just accept that we cant find it anywhere?? Thanks for listening:)
