Went to donate blood today.. thought it would be a nice thing to do. They turned me down. Gave me a number to call, I called and they say I was reported to have had a non A non B Hepatitis when I was in the hospital in 1985!. I was in the hospital in 1985 for 32 days really sick from encephalitis from Mosquito bites. (I was horseback riding while I was 6 1/2 month pregnant with my son and I ran into a swarm of mosquitos and got really sick and ran high fevers, My horse died a week later)Anyway they the CDC who was monitoring me ended up saying it was Hepatitis non a non b! I had my dr call them with currant blood test stating I didnt have any form of Hepatitis and they said they would not remove it! Can you believe that? My Dr. felt bad saying that with my health it probably wasnt a good idea for me to donate anyway. But It still pisses me off having that label. Im an Organ donor and now they will not use my organs so I am removing it from my driver license.
