Went to eye doc yesterday to see if he could cure my burning, itchy, watery eyes. News was not good from cosmetic standpoint - as his advice is that after 45 years of wearing rigid contacts that I need to switch to glasses fulltime. What?! In my mind I am only 45! Abrasions becoming easily infected with bacteria. I asked about Lasix - am too old he said. I said well what about cataract surgery - he said I am not old enough. While that was nice to hear, I guess I am caught in some middle age netherland. I said what about soft lenses - he said maybe, but my best advice is glasses. I will go for the Ashley Banfield eyeglass look.
