Went to my first boys basketball game since 1990. OMG, what a change. Saw U of D play Blomfield Hills. Two very outstanding teams. I have never seen a full court press like the U of D played, ever. They were amazing.. It was just one of those games where everything that Bloomfield Hills threw up went in and anything that U of D shot just would not go in the basket. Ill bet that U of D outshot Bloomfield 3 to 1, if not 4 to one, but it just wouldnt go. And I know that everyone complains about the refs, but these guys let a #11 get away with everything but murder whereas the U of D team had to stay away at least 2 feet from their man of the ref was calling a foul. It just really wasnt fair. Usually refs are crappy for both teams so both teams are getting equally screwed. But these guys were very blatant in their favoritism. Unreal, but still a very good game. If the refs would have let both teams play equally the game would have been extremely interesting, dont know who would have won then. Still a very enjoyable time with my grandson, couldnt ask for better. Thank God he was with me, as if not Id still be driving around Lansing.
