Went to see the movie Noah today. I went realizing I was going to see a fantasy movie, not a Biblical one. With that frame of mind, I enjoyed more of the movie. The special effects were incredible, the acting was well done, but all the scenes of Noah on the Ark were disturbingly wrong. Maybe the movie will entice some to go home and read/reread the true Biblical story in Genesis 6-9. Of course, theres hard to justify scenes in the movie that show Noah and family wearing clothing that looks like they were from the 19th century, modern day boots, even back packs, plus modern day hair cuts. Just kept telling myself it was a fantasy, so tried to keep that perspective throughout. The movie is a combination of other movies: Water World, Mad Max and Transformers. No where in the Biblical story of Noah did it mention Watchers being sent from Heaven to protect Noah. The only mention I could find of Watchers in the Bible was in Daniel. Making rocks turn into watchers was way over the top...just plain weird.
