Went to the Dr. (bone Dr.) late this afternoon.......he said that he was just shocked at how well I was moving my arm......that with an injury as severe as mine was, it was very unusual for the elbow to extend that far again......That most times it never was able to straighten out as much as I was already straightening mine!! The ligaments are still swollen, but seem to be starting to heal nicely......and that he was sending the order to the therapists to start some strengthening exercises on my arm, hand, and fingers starting next week. I told him that I had been workin really hard, and he said he could already tell that!! Still cannot lift anything, and have to be very careful......he said that when the elbow completely dislocated like mine did, and tore out all the ligaments,......that it could pop back out of joint fairly easily! OH NO, we do NOT EVER want that to happen again!!! So he wrote me an order for school, no lifting or carrying heavy objects. Continue therapy and he will see me again in a few weeks. I took the plunge and told him that I had a confession to make....that my right knee had been really bothering me, and had been very painful for about a year.....Im thinking that is what made me fall...(at least a hundred times).....so he checked my knee, and said that he felt my knee cap popping.....so he ordered x rays........sure enough....it had swollen ligaments and was making my knee cap jump out of place......so he gave me a cortisone shot in my knee to help the swelling go down... Man, Im fallin apart.........but GOD is still healin me, and Im STILL praisin HIS name......and yes folks, take heart.......cause the country bumpkin is still justa grinnin!!! I may be limpin and only have one good arm.......but it dont hinder the joy of the LORD in my heart......and it cant keep me from grinnin!!! Movin right along.....tomorrow an appt. with the optometrist for me.....and James picks up his bifocals!!!! My, my, my!!! :)
