Went up to KC yesterday for a Irish supper with my friend Matt Sweeney and the Third Day/Skillet show. Me and Matt ate at ODowds. I Had some Fish and chips. the fish was prepared in Irish beer batter. Very tasty! The concert started with We as Human. I have heard them before and was excited to see them again. They rocked the stage. Then Brandon Heath and Mandisa did about a 40 min set doing some of their top hits. While they are both great artist i could have done with less of their set. Then Third Day took to the stage and I had forgot just how much I enjoyed hearing them. At the end of the Third Day set Peter Fuller joined them and sang the worship song Free to run. Peter then went on to sing about 4 songs of his new album. To top off the night Skillet took the stage. With the big arena i was hoping for the fire and co2 cannons but there was none. But they did have a cool strobe light wall behind them with a video screen that had some cool videos that went with their new album Rise. Their set was only about 40 min and they had no encore. This makes the sixth time I have seen Skillet live. I give this show a B+.
