Were caring for our first grey seal pups of the season after they were both found orphaned in Caithness. The pups are now being looked after at our National Wildlife Rescue Centre, where they have been named Aphrodite and Typhoon. Sadly, its likely they were separated from their mothers by the recent storms. In this case Aphrodite and Typhoon needed help but in many instances seal pups arrive in our care after being disturbed by humans, causing their mothers to abandon them. Wed urge people not to touch or move any seal pups they come across and contact us for advice on 03000 999 999.
