Were coming up on the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Massacre. Which means were also coming up on the 25th anniversary of George Bush Senior proving who he really served as President. For those who forgot or were too young at the time, as the world recoiled in horror at the butchers of Beijing ruthlessly wiping out the pro-democracy protesters, Bush Seniors reaction was to send his personal envoy to Beijing to assure the oligarchs that the US would not react, would not interfere, that relations with Red China would continue as before without restriction or even any notice. The fact the Bush family had a decades-long history of financial involvement with the Red Chinese government was of course strictly coincidental. Just one more low point in the sorry history of Republican Presidents.
