Were here! What a fantastic show!! Wow - super horses and fabulous riders everywhere you look. The atmosphere is electric and everyone is so happy to be here and be a part of it, myself included. Its a little damp, but not too bad, although the tiny little stables and minimal horse care facilities are different - even for an agricultural kiwi! Frankie does seem to have forgotten that he no longer has testicles but as a 4yo at his first major championship show, his behaviour is very pleasing. It did require a deep breath and some dark breeches to jump on board this morning but despite feeling as high as a kite from time to time, we worked pleasingly. I do have to say that despite having come so far with my riding, I know how much further I have to go. Its the best decision ever to come up here and mix it with this class of rider and horse - makes me lift my game at every show. So now the hard work is done - well bring Frankie out for another walk around this afternoon but then its tomorrow and show time!! Im here to enjoy every step of the journey, but I do believe in myself and I certainly believe in my pony. Well give it our best shot and hopefully it will be good enough!! As my lovely friend Maree would say - angels on our bridles...
