Were in urgent need of help! We took in a litter of 12 pups about a year ago when their mother was so badly neglected that she had to be put to sleep. We fell in love with the remaining pup and she has grown into an absolutely amazing 90lb, well behaved girl. She had major digestive issues for the first 6 months thanks to her moms milk being toxic but has since fully recovered and shes fully housetrained and crate trained. Heres my issue. After the loss of one of our other rescues unexpectedly from what the vet believes was a congenital heart defect, Dallas started attacking our other dogs. One by one she stopped tolerating them. Her prey drive is insanely high. The trainers at Marleys Mutts worked with us and we made a bit of progress but it was determined that no matter what we do, we never will really be able to trust her around the others. We take in special needs rescues quite often and I already have my own special needs littles here. I should also note that we are currently staying full time in our RV on a job assignment in Key West so space is extremely limited. After a truly heartbreaking family meeting it was decided that we need to find a place for her where she doesnt have to constantly be put back into a crate to keep the others here safe. I refuse to give her to anyone who does not have a large amount of knowledge of her breeds (her mom was an American bulldog, her dad was half Belgian Malinois and half Mastiff) and I will only place her with written acknowledgement that should she EVER need to be placed again she will come back to us. That said, I could really use help from all of you in helping screen potential forever homes. If anyone with experience with these breeds and their prey drive issues is able to help me, PLEASE let me know.
