At Y&R Austin, we think that internships should be like the “lab” part of a class. They’re the place where you put into practice what you’re taking notes about all day. As an interactive intern at Y&R Austin, you’ll work side-by-side with a mentor and learn by doing as you help them on real projects for real clients with real deadlines. And if that’s not enough, you’ll be invited to attend internal and external meetings and be required to attend weekly seminars that will teach you how an agency functions. So, if you’re looking to improve your faxing, filing and photocopying skills, this may not be the place for you. But if you want to truly learn about advertising and interactive from the inside out, we’re currently accepting resumes. Job Requirements: Junior/Senior standing preferred. Must haves: Intermediate to Expert skill in Adobe Photoshop Intermediate to Expert skill in Adobe Illustrator Basic to Intermediate understanding of HTML Basic to Intermediate understanding of CSS Basic to Intermediate skill with Content Management Systems (CMSs) . Specifically, Wordpress. Desire and focus of pursuing the Interactive medium Nice to haves: Flash: ability to create banner advertisements.
