Were on our way to see the palm trees! Left a little later than we wanted, almost 11am. (Video of us leaving attached). It was pretty emotional for us. Jason felt it, too. I almost cried. It felt like we were getting married again! Arrived at Solomons Island just before 7pm. Took a little longer than planned. Winds shifted (not surprising) and the water was very choppy. Jason said waves were 2-4 feet. I swear we hit a few 6-foot waves! Mama wasnt feeling well at all! After lunch, Camille and I went down below to take a nap. She was able to get some shut eye. I enjoyed the roller coaster ride. It was kind of neat, feeling the waves lift us up and carry us down. Those werent so bad. The sucky ones were the ones which lifted us up, then pulled out from under us. We ended up slamming down onto the surface of the water. (started to feel yucky) We got equal amounts of both! So the first leg was rough and sucked (as far as waves go). The pros were; I got sick 3 times (along with exercise - I should be able to wear a string bikini by the time we get to the Keys, right? :), the weather was gorgeous (not too cold, not too hot, beautiful day), sunset was fabulously colorful and a nice way to welcome us to Solomons; super tired, and going to bed earlier than usual and Jason said tomorrow should be better. Heading to Reedville tomorrow. Its a stop after the Potomac River. Plan is to get there before sun sets. Its going to be another long leg, and, the last 2 hours of the trip will be dicey. (Thats when we pass the Potomac.) If were there earlier, we can dingy to shore and explore. Havent been past Solomons. Have a super night everyone!
