Were you in Bar Risa, Birmingham during the early hours of 5 April? Did you witness the assault shown on the CCTV video footage below? If so, we urgently need to hear from you on 101. We have released the video in a bid to trace a man who left another clubber with injuries that needed 22 stitches. The 21-year-old victim, from Cannock, had been on a night out in on Broad Street when he was subjected to an unprovoked attack outside the bar in the early hours of 5 April. The young man was first approached by his attacker inside the club, who threw a punch and knocked him to the floor whilst on the dancefloor. The club’s security asked the group involved in the fracas to move outside, where the young man demanded to know why the man had assaulted him. His attacker then punched him again, before a second man also joined in and punched him to the face. The clubber and his friend ran off and managed to get away from the scene in a taxi but the reveller’s injuries were so severe he ended up going to hospital, where he received 22 stitches to his lip and facial cuts. The suspect is described as a white man, of heavy, stocky build, around 5ft 10in tall, in his mid 20s to early 30s. He had a tattoo on his neck, spoke with a local accent and is possibly balding or receding on top. Anybody with information is urged to contact the major investigation team on 101. Thank you
