West Indies Cricket Council for the Blind Press release. Three teams to participate in 7th regional tournament of cricket for the blind. The tournament will be held from July 17 25 in Jamaica and is a replacement to that originally scheduled for Guyana in the month of March. The three teams are: Jamaica, Barbados and a mix team of players from Guyana, 7 players Trinidad & Tobago 1 with the remainder to be made up of players from the Windward Islands and Jamaica. The Trinidad and Tobago blind and visually impaired cricket association announced their withdrawal from the tournament in a one line email sent to the board on June 10th. Jamaica is the current title holder of the o.d. competition whilst Trinidad & Tobago won the t20 competition in 2011. Following the tournament a 17 member squad will be announced to represent the west indies at the fourth world cup of cricket for the blind to be held in South Africa November 25 –December 9.
