WestPacWx-wise: While sorting out what could be the problem accessing the dashboard, Im posting the latest Westernpacificweather | Daily Satellite Analysis here instead for the moment while I await the rest of the team to get into it. Heres the rundown for the next +24 hrs, wintry wx exits the Japanese archipelago leaving an improved wx all across the region except for Hokkaido which continues to have the Sea effect snow blowing from the Sea of Japan. Showers too along Central Japans Pacific coast. Relatively clear wx too over Beijing for this time as Aerosol level push East. Temps are quite low over most of East Asia while rest of IndoChina, the warming trend continues. A developing thunderstorm also seen to affect most of Southern China, to include Taiwan in the next couple of days potentially bringing rain showers. Further South, over the Philippines, light rains clipping the Northeastern coast of Cagayan and parts of Northern Luzon as the Tail end of a Cold Front extends over the region well into the North Pacific Ocean. Rest of the country remains dry as warmer winds blowing in from the North prevails. A slight development of a Low over the East Philippine Sea should potentially bring brief showers along the Eastern coast of Mindanao and parts of Visayas in the next few days though not significant rains in the forecast. Malaysia Peninsula still high and dry at the moment, with haze conditions prevailing across much of the Indonesian border in Java and Sumatra highlighting more concerns of pollution and travel disruptions in neighboring Singapore and possibly Kuala Lumpur. Tropical Showers over much of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomons. Temps in all stays high especially over Thailand ranging at 32-33C. No developing storms for the region so far, perfect wx for continuing search and rescue operations being undertaken by Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and China. The US Embassy in Manila has also issued a statement that it was sending a USNavy Destroyer to join in with the search of the missing Boeing 777-200E operated by Malaysia Airlines that have been lost for the past 31 hrs now. And also, our thoughts and prayers pour out to the 239 souls on board the missing Malaysia Airlines MH370 and their loved ones who are in agonizing wait for news on this developing story. Hope theyll be found today safe and sound wherever they have gotten to as the investigation is underway. Well continue to await the latest on that and more. Keep safe and God bless everyone! @weatherguyadonz
