Westport Pool League AGM A Big thanks to all who turned up to the AGM to discuss the 2014/2015 Westport Pool League Season. There was many points and issues discussed and finalised. 1) Committee: Jesse Kennedy, Eamonn Walsh & Ger Mc Greal. 2) Raffle Money 2013/14 Season Surplus €250 to be used for 2014/15 season. 3) Team Entry Fee was €120 - NOW €100 per team. (Due to successful raffle ticket sales) 4) We hope to have 16 Teams in the League this year so please enter your teams NOW ASAP! 6-9 Team player names may be finalised at a later date. Facebook me Your Team or Text Your Team to 0862506488. 5) Rules: - Same format as last year. - World Rules. - Promote Shot Clock: To be discussed by each captain on the night. If slow play introduce shot clock. (See Rules) 1minute (Time Called) + 30seconds extra. - Promote Sportsmanship as Always. - Players must play 4 league games to be eligible for finals. 6) Westport Pool District: West (Louisburgh), South (Carrowkennedy), East (Islandeady) & North (Mulranny). 7) Finals Night: Same format as last year. - We ask each pub entered into the league to sponsor a spot prize for the Pool Finals Raffle. - We ask each pub to sell raffle tickets in their pub a few weeks before the finals. - We ask each Captain to collect an optional €5 donation from each pool player to go towards some free drinks on the Pool Finals night. Each player that donates €5 will get a voucher on the Westport Pool finals night for a couple of free drinks. (To Promote Numbers at the Final). 8) Winners of the Westport Pool League Finals Premier and Championship Cups will go forward to represent Westport in the Mayo Pub Pool League Finals in a potentially epic weekend festival of pool - More to Follow, GAME ON!
