Weve all seen the irises with mutant blooms with too many or too few segments, but has anyone ever seen this type of mutation? One year Belvi Queen put out a stalk that was a perfectly miniature replica of itself. The blooms were even half the size of normal. I forgot to mark it and pull that rhiz to see if it was a sport, but it never happened again in the clump so I am assuming it was a one-off event.
