Weve been on a no screen time Monday - Thursday and way too much screen time Friday - Sunday schedule. It had its good points, but it didnt feel like the right solution. Even with no screen time on the school nights, there were still battles over homework and chores and piano practice. Today I decided to try another way... 30 minutes of math homework = 30 minutes screen time. 15 minutes piano = 15 minutes screen time. 1 hour of chores = 1 hour of screen time. Now instead of fighting me, the kids are asking, What work can I do next? And they get that if they havent earned it, they cant play that game or watch that movie...so out comes the homework. #score #mommywins #kidswin
