Weve been wed a month today & still grinding away at this moving process. Im exhausted but God is giving me the strength to carry on. The garage is filled almost to capacity. Daryl says Im a hoarder just like his Mom was... however, she loved the finer things of life - we are not alike in that respect. I thrived on any & everything. You know, friends, we cant take these things with us. When Jackie, Daryls mom passed away at the age of 71, she had items that were still in the box that she never was able to use. Ive made a decision that as I go through each thing Ive had stored for 2 years, 5 months now, I will take a look at it... if it isnt something I know I can readily use... Im donating to a good cause. Laura Simon was mentioning her boyfriend has a 20 inch ponytail he is cutting, I believe, for Locks of Love. Well, I think he should wait until this years upcoming GABBAFest & do it then right there in Macon. Hint! Hint! Hint! Daryl & I are planning to attend, although we know that we MUST cut back as much as possible. Heading in a bit back up to the hills of Dawsonville to knock out the rest of my belongings in my apartment. One door is closing & another has opened. I feel blessed Daryl & I were able to secure as nice of a house as we did. Sure, it needs plenty of things done to it. Well do them as time goes on. His Dad, Ken, really enjoyed his birthday celebration at LongHorn Steak House. one of my dear friends gave us a $50 gift certificate as a wedding present & this is how we used it. It sure did go a long way towards all of us dining on delicious steak dinners. Daryl & I had the filet & Ken & Dee shared the prime rib. They always share a meal. Actually, we are going to start doing this cause who needs a doggie bag to take home with them & sit in the refrigerator! Back to our project at hand! (In case youre wondering... Im resorting to the library. We are still undecided as to when or if well get television or internet. In the meantime, Im hoping my partner in Port Charles crime on GH, Connie Davis Watkins will keep me informed on who has been shot, killed or is in a hot, steamy affair. & if any of you are in to The Bachelorette, please fill me in on who Andi Dorfman gives the final rose to. Im speculating it will be the farmer, although I think she is better suited for the jock who now resides in Atlanta.) Carry on....
